Profile[]
Vace arrives on Vertumna IV at the end of the second month of Quiet in year 15, when the Heliopause lands. Soldiers from the Heliopause often fawn over him for his heroic or skillful feats. As the player gets to know him, they learn that his prideful yet heroic exterior hides a sadistic side.
Vace has dreams of one day owning his own space ship and exploring the stars, believing he's too smart to take orders forever.
Relationships[]
Vace does not get along with Cal or Rex.
In every playthrough, Vace will date Anemone. At first it seems like a good relationship. He gives her a nickname even if the player doesn't, and the two are always seen hugging and kissing. Over time, he's shown to be more and more controlling, getting aggressive towards the player if they have a high relationship with Anemone as he doesn't want anyone stealing "his girl". The player can eventually break the two up and suggest he goes to therapy.
Vace's mother "wanted nothing to do with him" and his father was an abusive alcoholic. Despite that, he tells the player that he used to look up to his father for being a soldier, and even that he was Vace's inspiration for becoming one himself. He now hates him and sees him as a weakling who was good for nothing but taking orders.
