Flulu, also known as Fluorescent, is the player character's mother and an inhabitant of the Colony who arrived on Vertumna aboard the Stratospheric.

History

Flulu, along with her husband Geranium, ran the hydroponic gardens aboard the Stratospheric whom were responsible for propagating plant-life and producing fresh air for the ship as result. She is mentioned to have been in a war, serving as part of what drove her and Geranium to leave earth, and resulting in her losing a leg.

Flulu works as the head of Geoponics and is a member of the colony's Council as Chief Cultivator.

Fluorescent is married to Geranium. She is Sol's mother.

Interactions

Depending on the player's actions, Fluorescent may die of starvation in the third month of Wet season in year 4.

Trivia

• Flulu gifts a bouquet of exotic earth flowers for the players 12th birthday, giving you a collectible of White Astrantia after holding the seeds in cold storage for 20 years for the exact birthday. They are the first earth flowers to bloom on Vertumna.

Gifting them to any of the viable candidates results in 10+ friendship and unique dialogue. Rex is the only individual to refuse the flower, aside from on his birthday. There is unique dialogue for gifting it on birthdays. Note: Dialogue was taken at age 12 for the Stratopheric characters, and at 15 for the Heliopause characters. It may alter when they hit adulthood.

Anemone: "Whoa, that looks really special," Anemone's eyes go wide as you hand her the flower. "Thank you, (name). Thanks bunches!"

Cal: "Wow-wow!" Cal hoots as he carefully takes the flower. "This is one of the species your mom brought from Earth, right? It must have taken a lot of care to grow this." "Can I really have it? Thanks, (name)."

Dys: "Is that one of your mother's flowers? Are you sure...?" "Thank you, (name)."

Tangent: "Curious," Tangent analyzes the delicate white petals. "It has been dried and preserved, but still looks as fresh as if it were just picked. You have taken good care of this specimen. Thank you, (name)."

Marz: "Ooooh pretty!" Marz admires the Astrania. "Wow (name), you could have given this to anyone but you choose me. I can't say I'm surprised but... Thank you."

Tammy: Tammy looks on the verge of tears as you hand her the white flower. "This- This is one of your mother's flowers? I can't believe you're giving it to me. Are you sure?" You nod and fold her hands around the stem. "Thank you (name). Thank you so much.

Rex: "No, no," Rex shakes his head with a smile and gently puts the gift back in your hands. "The way to this boy's heart is through hugs."

Vace: "Huh, are you sure?" Vace looks at the flower dubiously. "This seems important to you." "Well, thank you."

Nomi: "Neat!!" Nomi gazes at the flower. "Is this from Earth? I've never seen anything like it before. Thank you!"
